Jeans is an ever evolving staple piece which I absolutely can’t get enough of, I literally have up to a dozen pair of jeans and I still want more (don’t judge me).
Okay let’s delve into today’s topic. I read up a few articles on getting the best fitting jeans and I was fascinated about the little details that could make your derrière more flattering in jeans which I had no idea of.
I decided to write up a few tips on how and share with my Fashionistas.
TIP 1:
First off, we all know the not-so secret to perfect fit jeans; getting the right size and the best way is always try on the jeans before purchase but if in an inconvenient situation or rushing of somewhere then the neck trick’s got you covered, gave more details on this in a previous post(Haven’t read it? Be sure to check it out)
TIP 2:
Back yoke on jeans (Seam): This is something I never ever paid attention to never really thought it had a relevance atleast until now. You probably in awe like “what’s the back yoke tho?” It can be found between the waist band and back pockets of your Jeans, having said that there are different shapes/cut of the yoke like the straight, inverted arc, V-shape, heart like (I won’t be going into details on each of them) but of all the cuts the V-shaped is the most flattering. The Inverted arc gives an illusion of a fuller rear which is what we want right?
TIP 3:
Sanding on the butt of the jean, this adds a highlighter to the back of the jean at the bum area which gives an illusion of volume to the ass.
TIP 4:
Always go for High rise jeans, highwaist jeans as we all call it. This would promote the idea of a fuller silhouette since they inch at your natural waist creating the appearance of much shapier butt. I mean who wouldn’t want that? Not me tho Lol
TIP 5:
Pockets with details (zippers & welts), this add an extra thickness to the back pocket hence giving you an extra somethin’ somethin’ back there *wink wink.
Hope these 5 Tips would help you find the perfect fit jeans. Oh one last extra extra make sure you get jeans that have 1% to 2% of spandex/lycra. The elasticity helps to hold everything in place without totally sacrificing comfort. Okay that’s all from me.
