Thank you for always coming back for more I really appreciate your comments and likes regardless of how small my community is you’re the best out there ;). About two weeks ago I introduced a new style series on the blog called #WEAREAFRICANS if you missed the first look and would love to know what this style series is all about? Click here

The idea was also to help relief you of that midweek stress and give you the best style ideas for the weekend/new week. The first Nigerian brand in this series is the TheKatieWangCompany. Today I’ll be styling the Ankara “Long line sleeveless Jacket”, I really love this piece because it’s versatile and can be styled a lot of ways, and I decided to keep it classy, simple and stylish of course.

Here’s how I styled mine:

Ankara Long line Jacket: @TheKatieWangCompany

White Shirt: MRP (MRPrice Nigeria)

Black Pants: @Lushfairy on Instagram

Bag: My mother’s closet (Mothers low-key have the best old ishhh)

I’d let you in on a few tips on how to rock this jacket with ease.

Tips on how to style your long line sleeveless jacket with ease

-Go for a collar shirt preferably with sleeves; it blends better with the neck cut of the jacket

-Go for high necks like a turtle neck or a tunnel neck preferably with sleeves

-An off the shoulder would also work could be a dress, top or jumpsuit.

-Highwaist pants adds more style to it (could be straight, flare or bell bottom pants whichever you opt for).

-If you decide to wear something short or mid length go for boots, sneakers or maybe gladiator sandals, sure to spice up your look.

You can always try it your way like I always say ‘Add that special element’ “YOU”. It’s fun and makes you stand out. If you decide to style this jacket or a similar type, be sure to share your look with me on Instagram (Tag me @Thisthingcalledfshionn)
