STYLE|GOLDEN PERFECTION in DebsByDebby

Currently sad 😦 I wrote up this blog post a few hours back saved it and now I’m back can’t seem to find in my draft. I have to start all overrrr. aarrghhhhh haven’t even had dinner yet.

First of all I actually forgot this post was meant to go up today, see me sitting pretty waiting for wednesday. My official posting days are Monday and Wednesday. Trying my best to stay consistent. *Fingers crossed

Golden Perfection- Most of you must be saying to yourself right now ‘Why Golden Perfection’? The question should be why not ‘Golden Perfection‘

After my shoot yesterday going through the pictures and selecting the best shots I realized how the sun made me look Golden, I am so proud to be brown skinned and African-Nigerian. I appreciated the sun, would not have survived without my shades though.

@Debs_by_Debby is an upcoming Nigerian womenswear brand, if ypu follow me on Instagram you would have noticed a few shots with a striped black & white pants, it fits like a glove and I lovee it on me. This skirt is no less than the striped pants, it cinches my waist in.

How to Style an Ankara skirt:

The ankara skirt is a very versatile piece which can be styled in so many different ways depending on your personality and what you want. I can’t begin to mention all the ways you can style but you could take a look of one of the many ways below:

I went for a classy look, can be worn to work on friday (without neckpiece) or church or out with friends. A little print on print with the Animal Print court shoes x Ankara skirt. 

‘Style is Personal’ never forget that, always stay true to YOU. I’m not saying you can not learn ‘how to style’ from someone else or getting tips/inspiration from another fashionista is wrong. Its very normal we look for inspiration I do too (you’d be surprised where i get some of mine from) .

A few suggestions on how to style an ankara print skirt?

-Ankara skirt x white statement tee x fishnet socks x white sneakers

-Ankara skirt x ankara print top(off shoulder with statement sleeves) x heels

-Ankara print skirt x white shirt layered with a boobtube ankara print top x court shoes/sneakers

-Ankara print skirt x Kimono x flat gladiator sandals/Mules
