As the month of August counts down I decided to do a series of looks that can be worn in school for classes or a day out with friends. Hence, this post is for all my Fashionistas out there starting a new semester real soon or maybe you just want to Step up your A Game & look effortlessly stylish with a few basic pieces. I’ll be your tour guide on this fashionable journey.

#1 Invest in basic pieces

This has to be the most important tip. Asides going for trendy pieces never forget the basics. Simply put, the basics are the building blocks to a perfect wardrobe.

A few staples include A;  

-White Button down shirt: You can either choose to invest in a new one or go thrifting like me

-White Sneakers: Not the sneaks you use for your weekly workout routine, but classic white kicks that will go with everything.

-Sunglasses: Of courseee! This should be your go to accessory. It has an instant upgrade your look thing to it.

-Black Bag: The bag that swallows up all your every day essentials & still has space to stuff up food, water and anything

For a college/university student it’s more economical. These wardrobe staples can be styled in so many ways i.e. A basic white shirt = 4 different looks.

A Look!

 

White shirt- Thrifted (500 NGN)

Floral Slip dress- Thrifted (300 NGN)

White Sneakers- Champion (PAyless Store NewYork)

Black Bag- Uchechi’s Closet

White Sunglasses- Cat Eye (Instagram Online Store I can’t remember)

Paired the look up with my dainty silver neckpiece my sister got me a year ago for christmas since then it’s been loyal to me. Go for dainty earrings and neckpieces, keeps the look clean, simple and classy!
